Who gave to your 2015 Jeffco school board candidate?

The two school board candidates linked to the successful recall of three incumbents in Jefferson County easily out raised their opponents, according to final campaign finance reports released late Thursday.

Ali Lasell raised $74,968 and spent every penny. Amanda Stevens raised $61,499 and spent $61,457. Respectively, Kim Johnson raised $12,389 and Tori Merritts raised $7,100. Johnson spent her entire war chest while Merritts spent $6,872.

While Lasell and Stevens built their own coalition, they rode a tidal wave that sought to oust three conservative school board members. That coalition include well connected parents and the teachers union.

The combined cost between the regular election and the recall is well over a million dollars.
