Don’t panic if you see some crazy stuff happening at CEC Middle College of Denver Friday.
The nasty accident you see – with multiple injuries – will be fake and all part of a learning experience for CEC students, who will apply what they have learned in medical and emergency services career classes.
They will be assisted by firefighters from Denver Fire Station Number 9.
The scenario will take place from approximately 8 to 9 a.m. in the school’s parking lot, 2650 Eliot St. The mock disaster will provide an opportunity for teachers to record students’ responses via video, photo, observation and interviews to assess their abilities to respond in a crisis. There will be a debriefing follow the mock disaster.
Let’s hope everyone gets a passing grade.
