Find your high school’s 2011 graduates

Where do graduates of Colorado high schools go after receiving their diplomas? For the Class of 2011, 45 percent enrolled in a Colorado public college or university or in one of three private schools.

The other 55 percent may be attending an out-of-state school, another in-state private institution or they may not be in college at all.

A state report shows most 2011 graduates attending in-state programs, or 67 percent, enrolled in four-year schools. Most were female, 53 percent, and most were white, 64 percent.

Colorado State University was the most popular four-year program with in-state graduates while Front Range Community College was the top two-year school.

Data notes

  • Researchers tracked enrollment in 28 public colleges and universities, plus three private institutions – Colorado Christian, Denver and Regis universities – which receive public dollars through the state College Opportunity Fund.
  • Graduates who enrolled in colleges or universities outside of Colorado are not tracked, nor are those who enrolled in most private programs or vocational schools.
  • Students graduating after May 2011 are not included. Enrollment in higher education programs refers to entry in fall 2011.
